What differences can I expect from my last time working with you?
Installation times range from three to eight weeks, but those times change minute by minute depending on selections of material/accessories. A 50% deposit is still required to secure your installation date, 40% is due upon arrival of the installers before any work is done, and the remaining 10% is due when the installation is complete.
What similarities can I expect from working with PDO compared to the last time I did a project?
Best of all, you will always get the customer service you have grown to love from the beginning to the end of the project! Accessories, color options, days of installation time, the overall process, and a limited lifetime warranty.
Why is there a consultation fee?
Every minute counts and especially when you are a small business! 😉 The $300 deposit (sometimes more, depending on your request) can be applied toward your project when you decide to move forward. If you choose not to proceed with PDO, you still have a unique design based on our conversation and your needs, wants, and desires.
For the clients who are unsure what company they want to use for their designs and only want to make sure you are getting a “good price” with the designs you already have…email the plans, and PDO will give you, our price.
How long until my installation takes place?
Installation times can be anywhere from three to eight weeks, depending on your selection of materials and accessories. Remember that these time frames are from the time of signing the contract and collecting the deposit. If PDO comes to your house and we discuss your design and requirements, PDO tells you the installation date will be about five weeks from now, but it takes another two weeks to finalize your plans and get the contract signed. You can expect five weeks from when the contract is signed, and the deposit is collected. Please remember that PDO helps their clients on a first come, first-serve basis. PDO will not be able to give you an installation date until the contract is signed and the deposit is collected.
How long will my design project take to install or the organization project to complete?
There are many variables to consider when providing a general estimate for different projects. For example, for a design project, PDO can install about $4,500 per day. Other factors that affect the installation time are your system a wall-hung system or floor based? Do you have drawers and doors? Do you have any crown, base molding, glass mirrors, etc.? Do you have stairs, or is there any tear-out? These are just a few variables that may affect the amount of time it takes for your installation.
Clients who complete a design project can purchase organizational hours in two-hour increments. Some variables that can affect the number of organizing hours needed are stairs in your home, possible shopping, sorting, clearing the space, cleaning, and your level of involvement. How much stuff do you have to take out? Can you decide quickly about keeping an item versus trash or donating it? How big is the room? Is the space five feet wide or 20 feet wide? Hopefully, this explains a little more about why PDO can never tell you exactly how long your project will take but hopefully helps explain how many aspects can affect the project.
How many hours should I buy for organizing?
When you complete a design project, you can buy organizing hours now or later. Many factors determine the number of hours needed. The more steps you complete yourself, the fewer hours from PDO will be required. PDO has clients who want help clearing the space and sorting their belongings. We also work with clients who go shopping, clear the area, sort, and clean, and all they need PDO to do is show them how to organize.
When is the busiest time of year?
The busiest time of year is from the beginning of November to the end of January. At the beginning of November, everyone wants to complete their projects before their family/friends come to town. January is the single busiest month of the entire year because all the clients that PDO sees in November and December are too busy to finalize, it’s now the first of the year, and everyone wants to move forward with their projects.
